The Beatles Box was released by World Records in December 1980, with ads starting on November 5, 1980 for this mail-order only collection. Being a different product altogether from EMI's Beatles Collection (released in 1978), the Beatles Box is a coveted item for many Beatles fans. The tracks were arranged in chronological order and each of the new 8 albums sported different picture sleeves to depict the time frame the songs came out in.
