The Beatles' 21st Capitol album has a few differences between the US version and the UK version. EMI had stuck very strictly to the Beatles' request to keep the songs as originally issued; ie., in mono. But Capitol planned to issue in stereo, and George Martin was appalled. He spent 2 days (unpaid) re-dubbing the tapes to what he felt was a better one for issuing in stereo for Capitol. EMI wasn't very happy, but one can certainly tell that EMI's version was strictly issued from the original mono recordings.
